Welcome to 2025, Team! 🎉

The holidays are behind us, the year ahead is brimming with potential, and we’re ready to hit the ground running! All coached sessions kick off tonight, so make sure you check the online timetable to confirm times and locations. Whether it’s your first session back or you’ve been quietly crushing solo workouts over the break, now’s the time to rejoin the squad energy and get back into the swing of things.

We’ve also got some fantastic news about fees - read on below for all the details. We’re committed to keeping triathlon accessible for everyone and can’t wait to share this update with you.

It’s Race Week! 🏁
Race #3 of the 2XU Triathlon Series is on this weekend at St Kilda, and we couldn’t be more excited. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Short Course Athletes: Join us for a pre-race session on Saturday morning.
  • Long Course Athletes: Your regular session departs from Elwood at 6:30am as usual.
  • Sunday: There’s no Elwood session, but here’s an idea - combine training and supporting by completing your long run along the bike course. Cheer on your teammates while nailing your own session. That’s a win-win!

Speaking of teamwork, Les will be looking for helping hands to get the TA tent set up on Saturday morning at St Kilda. This kicks off at around 9am, and as the saying goes, many hands make light work! It would be fantastic to see lots of the squad come down to lend a hand, support the setup, and help kick off the race weekend in true TA style.

This is the perfect time to focus, recalibrate and set your sights on your 2025 goals. Included below is our Top 5 Ways to Ignite Your Goals.  Start by showing up, staying consistent, and embracing the process. Every session, every effort, every moment counts. Let’s make this the year we chase down what we’re capable of and push past what we thought was possible.

Here’s to a new year, a new season, and endless possibilities 💪

Membership Fees Update:
Holding Strong for 2025

As the new year kicks off, we wanted to touch base with some good news regarding membership fees. Typically, at this time of year, we apply a small CPI increase to help manage rising operating costs. However, we understand that the current cost-of-living pressures are challenging for many. That’s why we’ve decided not to pass on any increase at this time. Membership fees will remain at 2024 prices 🎉

For those of you lucky enough to still be on our historical membership pricing, you’ll stay on that lower price unless you make changes to your membership. If you do need to make a change, your membership will revert to the current pricing at that time.

And because we love making life easier for our squad, here’s another win for 2025: we will no longer charge hire fees for wind trainers for our current members. Yes, you read that right – hire fees are gone! Consider this our way of lightening the load and giving a little something back to the incredible squad culture we share.

We’ll continue to absorb as much of the rising facility and operating costs as we can. That said, if there are any significant changes on our end, we promise to keep you in the loop and communicate our plans well in advance.

Program Updates:
Ready for the Next Challenge?

New year, new goals, new programs! All of our training programs have been updated and are now live, so it’s time to make sure you’re on the right path toward your next race.

A special shout-out to our Long Course athletes who smashed it at Busselton (congratulations on an incredible achievement!), now that Busso is behind you, it’s time to switch over to your next program. You’ve got plenty of options to choose from, including:

  • Geelong 70.3
  • Port Macquarie 70.3
  • Cairns 70.3
  • Ironman Australia (Port Macquarie)
  • Ironman Asia Pacific (Cairns)

If you’re thinking about shifting gears, you can also opt for a Short Course membership to mix things up and keep things fresh.

Switching is easy, so take a moment to log in, review your options, and select the program that aligns with your race calendar and goals. As always, we’re here to help if you have any questions or need guidance on your next steps.

Top 5 Ways to Ignite Your 2025 Goals

Ready to make 2025 your best yet? Here’s a fresh take on how to hit the ground running this year:

1️⃣ Pick a ‘Scary but Exciting’ Goal – Choose something that gives you butterflies just thinking about it. Growth happens when you step out of your comfort zone!

2️⃣ Focus on the Process – Instead of obsessing over the outcome, commit to showing up for the daily grind. The results will follow.

3️⃣ Reflect and Reset – What worked in 2024? What didn’t? Use those lessons to refine your approach and level up.

4️⃣ Buddy Up – Share your goals with your squad mates. Accountability and support can turn good intentions into epic achievements.

5️⃣ Celebrate the Small Wins – Progress isn’t just about race day. Every strong session, healthy meal, and early alarm is a victory worth celebrating.

Remember, the only limits are the ones you set yourself 💪

Pre-Race Session

Pre-Race Session

The day before race day…woohoo!

Meet at Catani Gardens, before 7am.

First, we will ride one lap of the bike course (approx. 13kms), followed by a run off the bike (1 - 2.5km) and then a swim in the bay. All of this will be at an easy effort to get us ready for race day!

We then set up the TA Taj (Tri-Alliance Tent), this is where we hang out, get ready, keep our bags on race day.

Bring everything, we will be riding on the road so make sure you have lights, a phone, sunglasses, helmet etc.  Wear whatever you feel comfortable riding and running in. Most athletes wear their trisuit to easily ride, run and swim in.

TriKids Support

Tri Kids - Helpers Needed

The future stars of triathlon will be taking the stage on Sunday morning in the TriKids race, and we need your help to make their day unforgettable!

We’re calling for volunteers to lend a hand with simple tasks like organising kids into age groups, guiding them to the start line, helping with gear after the swim, moving bikes, and, most importantly, cheering them on with endless smiles and high fives!

It’s an easy, fun way to give back to the sport and support the next generation. Meet us at the TA Tent at 9:30am for a quick briefing in the kids transition at 9:50am. The more, the merrier—let’s rally around these little legends and make it a day they’ll always remember! 🌟
