After a disrupted Build Week 1 with training sessions all over the place thanks to the F1 Grand Prix, we’re finally returning to something that resembles normality this week. That means back to MSAC for Wind Trainer and pool swims, and a bit more stability in the schedule - although not without a few last tweaks, so be sure to check the updated timetable! Here’s what’s different this week: 🔹 Monday 17th March – No open water swim at Elwood Beach due to poor water quality after heavy rain. 🔹 Tuesday 18th March – Morning Run Intervals will remain at Middle Park (Albert Park is still impacted by the GP bump-out). 🔹 Tuesday 18th March – Evening Wind Trainer is back at MSAC (BYO trainer - no hire options). 🔹 Sunday 23rd March – No coached session at Elwood due to Race #6. From here, things should be back to normal! Speaking of Race #6, this weekend marks the final showdown of the 2XU Triathlon Series at St Kilda. If you’re racing, this is your last chance to leave it all out on the course. If you’re not racing, we need your help! There are still spots available to help with tent set-up, race recon, TriKids support, and pack-down. These race weekends run on squad effort, so jump in where you can and help us finish the season strong! Post-Race Celebration – You’re Invited! 🍹 After the race, we’re heading to Beachcomber in St Kilda from 4:30 PM to celebrate the season, swap war stories, and enjoy a well-earned drink together. Whether you’ve raced, supported, or just want to soak up the squad atmosphere, we’d love to see you there! Housekeeping & Reminders: 🔹 MSAC Pool Closures are fast approaching - make sure you review your membership and adjust accordingly before March 31st. Details on how to update your membership are below. 🔹 Payment Details – If your membership payments have been failing, chances are your payment details need updating. No one enjoys those follow-up emails, so take a moment now to get ahead of it! 🔹 Wind Trainer Wars – Smart vs. Not-So-Smart – If you haven’t read Coach Gaz’s latest thoughts on whether you actually need a fancy smart trainer, you’re missing out. His latest piece is equal parts wisdom, controversy, and brutal honesty - so give it a read before you drop thousands on tech you don’t need. This is our final push before we wrap up the series - let’s train hard, race hard, and celebrate hard! 💪💙💛
