The weekend was so big, it’s taken me an extra day to get the newsletter written this week!
Can you actually believe we have had 4 races with the most ideal racing conditions? 4!!!!! That’s some streak and the weather on Sunday at Sandringham was sublime. It was so great to see such a huge group of TA athletes take to the course, both new faces and old faces, all out there giving it their best. The blue and yellow stood out around race venue and if you were in the kit, you got the cheers (and the sneaky Instagram photos!).
Big congratulations to everyone. Great to see a lot of the long course crew using the weekend as an opportunity to have a hit out on their way to their big races. In terms of results, we know there were loads of happy athletes (the most important marker of success), loads of PBs and loads of you wanting even more! Special mention to athletes who finished top 10 in their categories:
SPRINT Ellie 1st Vivien, Chaya 2nd Paul, Sarah 3rd Doug 4th Lara 6th Tamara, Shane 7th Cindy 8th Jen, Javiera, Narelle 9th Sonya 10th
OLYMPIC Slaine 2nd Mario 3rd Aurelie 4th Rachel 5th Kristy 7th Dan 10th
FUN Trent 1st Ross, Emma, Nick 2nd Julie 4th Chris 5th Issy 6th Mark 7th Annie 10th
Speaking of great results on the weekend, the kits were looking on point! The yellow and blue really does stand out from the crowd and we know it’s a known fact that you get more on-course support when repping the team colours. Plus, it just feels good to be part of the TA family culture. We have mostly female suits in stock, and the girls are killing it at the moment, so we encourage you to get on board.
As we look to the week ahead, we’ve got the team from ON Running coming along to Elwood on Thursday night for a wear test session. This is where you get to select a pair of ONs shoes to take out for a test run. If you haven’t done this in a while, we highly recommend you have a go. The new releases have come out with an improved Helion rubber, and the results speak for themselves. So come down and have a chat with Luke Bell about the shoes, about running and about all things triathlon. He loves a chat and will help get you sorted.
And it’s been great to have a whole lot of new athletes join the squad recently – welcome aboard! But I know that some of you are still missing your Welcome Packs. So read below on how to get yours organised.
Rest up this week team. Follow the prescribed sessions to make the most of recovery week and get the body right to hit the beginning of Build Week next Monday with renewed enthusiasm and a fresh body.
Get in touch if you have any questions and stay tuned next week for another spotlight on one of our amazing coaches, and maybe even some Ambassador news!!! |
