WEEKLY TRANSITION
6th SEPTEMBER 2021 – SWIM, BIKE, RUN, READ

It's the exciting, charming and compelling weekly read that everyone waits for!
Stay up to date - get all the latest news, hear the athlete blogs, find weekly specials from our great sites and get the lowdown on all important weekend sessions

Let's start off with a Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there in the TA Family.  We hope you found some time yesterday to spend with (in person, over the phone, via FaceTime) your dad and make them feel special. We certainly did here at TA HQ.  We had a full day of exercising, eating and enjoying family time.

Those 3-week cycles seem to come around quite quickly, don’t they?!?  Here we are at the beginning of another Recovery Week.  And as we always say, if you have been following your program, you should be hanging out for these as a time to recharge and refresh your body.  So that’s exactly what the focus should be this week.  Make sure you get along to the stretch session Wednesday night and some fun trivia Friday night to really make the most of the week.

Well done to all those who got themselves entered into the 2XU series and took advantage of the double discount (early bird and TA squad).  It’s always a good idea to have a goal set on the calendar to keep you accountable. Timely acknowledgement to those athletes who have been notified and had to postpone/defer their Noosa entries once again.  It's a sh*tty reality that we won't be able to make the annual pilgrimage up to QLD in November, as it looks to be going ahead as a local race.  We will be back when we can.

On the other hand, as the unpredictability of events has become, dare we say…predictable, it’s good to know the team from O2 Events have already got contingency plans in place. Did you know:

Q: What's the contingency for Race 1 Nov 28 and Race 2 Dec 12, 2021?
A: In the instance that Race 1 or 2 is impacted, we have a contingency in place to achieve an additional race in 2022. Any outcome on these events would be determined during the middle of November 2021.

Q: What if events are impacted and I've purchased 6 races?
Or a single race?

A: Should a 6-race purchaser only have the opportunity for 5 races in their series, a pro-rata refund will be available to them (e.g. 1/6 of their registration fee). An individual race entrant could transfer to any other race or seek their registration fee refunded back less a 20% admin fee.

We’re remaining positive that the full 6 races will go ahead as planned and that’s what we will continue to work towards.  As always, as soon as we know differently, we are here to help steer the ship in the right direction and get everyone back on their path.

Looking forward to seeing many of you at a session (or two) this week.
Stay safe.
Train with purpose.
Recover well.
And keep your eyes on the prize!

Thanks for your patience with this format of the newsletter.  We are working with the dev team to fix the bugs currently preventing the usual flair and pizzazz that I'd like to include!  Hopefully not much longer and we'll be back to normal.
