Tanya - Race 5 Elwood
What a perfect weekend for a triathlon. Can every race be like this? Congratulations to everyone who competed this weekend (from near and far) or ticked off some solid training goals! Another record-breaking turnout for the SOLD-OUT Race #5 of the 2XU series, with a large number of Tri-Alliance athletes competing and another Try the Tri graduation.

TTT #5 graduated, and this group seemed even more ecstatic than the last! If such a thing is even possible! Not to mention their battle braids, which made them look so professional (thanks, coach Sez!) Another happy and successful group that we hope will stick around. They were a fun group to share our triathlon tips & tricks.

Another jam-packed weekend of triathlon-related activities. And we thank our regular (and new) volunteers who continue to assist us with TTT 5/6, tent set up and pack down, kids race, and overall support!

Continue reading for Race 5 results and an update on Andy's performance at IRONMAN New Zealand, as we kick off the week by commemorating International Women's Day, ALL WEEK #EmbracEquality.

International Women's Day

When: Wednesday, 8 March 2023.
International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated annually as a global day focussing on the women's rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women.
Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #EmbraceEquity.

Celebrate women's achievement. Raise awareness about discrimination. Take action to drive gender parity.
IWD belongs to everyone, everywhere. Inclusion means all IWD action is valid.
Watch our socials this week as we celebrate and get to know some of our squad's inspirational women!

“Some sessions are stars and some sessions are stones, but in the end they are all rocks and we build upon them.”
― Chrissie Wellington
