First off, some good news from sunny Thailand! Our Group 1 campers have just wrapped up their camp (you will not believe the achievements from this group!), and Group 2 has landed and is already three days into their training. While they're basking in the heat and humidity, we're here in Melbourne, ready to tackle our own challenges.

This week, it's Recovery Week in our 3-week program periodisation cycle. You've just pushed through two tough Build Weeks, so now it’s time to let your body recover and soak up all those hard-earned gains. Recovery is crucial to prevent burnout and injuries, so take it seriously! 

Remember, just because Ollie and some of our athletes are enjoying the tropical vibes doesn't mean your program here is any less important. Consistency is key, and skipping sessions means lost opportunities for improvement. So, let's make sure to tick off all those sessions and keep the momentum going strong.

All sessions are on this week as planned. The schedule tweaks are minimal and have been clearly outlined below. No excuses, folks! Get out there and make the most of your training.

Speaking of making the most of things, we're about to put in a bulk order for Oakleys. If you have any specific models in mind, let us know! Check out the details and get your orders in.

Timetable This Week

The second group has joined the OGs in Thailand, and after a weekend of combined training, group 1 will pass the baton over to keep the training spike going. 
For everyone here training back in Melbourne, let me give you the run down for Recovery Week sessions.

Monday Swim - No change.  3 lanes & 2 coaches.  Be in the water by 6.15pm.
Tuesday Wind Trainer - Changed to online.  Find the link in the section below.
Wednesday Swim - No change.  3 lanes & 2 coaches.  Be in the water by 5.45am.
Thursday Run - No change.  Meet at The Tan for a 6.15pm start.  Interval programs and recovery run options for all.
Friday Swim - No change.  2 lanes & 2 coaches.  Be in the water by 5.45am.
Saturday Ride - No change.  Refer to notes from Coach Greg to be post in the Symposium and chat groups.
Sunday Run - One location only.  Meet Coach Greg at Fairfield for an 8am long run session.

Our Tuesday night wind trainer session will be held online again this week, whilst the crew are over in Thailand.

Coach Greg will be there to guide you through the session, which will be available for both long and short course athletes.

Entries Are Now Open

Get ready to dive into the 2024/2025 2XU Triathlon Series, with registrations now open! There is an opening special for you to start planning your summer of racing.

OPENING SPECIAL - 6 RACES FOR THE PRICE OF 4

To sweeten the deal, you will receive the 2024/2025 2XU Tri Series T-Shirt.

Please note the previous registration platform used for the 2XU Triathlon Series (Register Now) has now been updated to a new platform Race Roster, so things will look a little different when registering.

Members will select from a pre-populated list of Clubs and Schools based on the 2024 Series (including Tri-Alliance).  This selection will mean your result is attributed to our club points.

Discounts are currently active on any single or multiple race entries currently, and ongoing. Discounts will not be active on the Opening Special "6 Races for the price of 4" of the 6 Race Full Series Entry. They will be active from the next pricing period beginning August 30th.  

Do the math - you can pay $491 now.  Or from August 30th you will get 20% discount off the Tri Club price of $553 = $442.40!
