WHAT A WEEKEND

tri-alliance-teamwork

Second triathlon event for 2020, only this time it was a duathlon!  Despite the good weather that greeted us Sunday morning, the damage was done (literally with the tent copping a battering Friday night, ripping and bending out of shape) with the excessive rain falling Friday night to Saturday night. Poor water quality meant Run-Ride-Ride was on the cards. It was still great to see the yellow and blue army out in full force across all events, from the Fun Tri, Sprint and helping with the Kids race!  We had a whopping 80 athletes racing across the day, with some great results.  It was hard to rate the PBs, however, some reflected back to Race#1 last season as a gauge, but we still had plenty of happy athletes and a strong showing on the podium.

Congratulations to everyone who raced. A special congrats to Tess and Brad, who made the top step in their respective distances and categories, and to Jules, Dorothee, Lindsey and Jen for their podium placings!

Huge shout out to those of you who came down early to resurrect the damaged tent, put up the remaining tents and generally just lend a hand – despite the weather! And to those who stayed back on Sunday to help with the pack up…can’t tell you how much we appreciate all the helping hands and easing the load. Thanks to all our Kid helpers, you guys rock and we can see that some of you are really enjoying the role this year. And finally to our chefs Phil & Dan, what a nice support to have the BBQ cooked and ready for our hungry tribe. It’s true….#TeamWorkMakesTheDreamWork

Naturally, we’ve got loads more in this edition, including Challenge Shepparton entry details, a reminder to athletes regarding fees, some new technique clinics coming up, and all the details for what’s happening this weekend.

Tri-Alliance is proud to be achieving such great results for all its athletes and to ensure we can continue to provide you with such exceptional service, we’ll be increasing our fees on all our coaching options, effective 10 February 2020.  Weekly memberships will rise by $1.  Tri-Alliance continues to do everything we can at our end to bring you great value at very reasonable prices and help absorb some of the rising overhead costs.  The decision is not made easily, but with ongoing pressure to expand our services, accommodate more athletes at sessions, build systems and increase coaching staff, we trust you’ll appreciate our position.
