We got there…final race of the 2XU series for 2021 has been run and won and what a great day it turned out to be! Check out below for full details. Big thanks to O2 Events for pushing ahead and to all our athletes who helped put up the TA Taj on a Saturday morning or stayed behind after your race was done to help with pack down. It takes a team to get the job done and it’s always so nice to see the helping hands roll up their sleeves without even being asked. We’re super appreciative. The hardest working team of Les & Matty are phenomenal – Ollie couldn’t do it without you two…thank you!
We’re also super pumped (and super bummed we couldn’t be there) for our Geelong crew, who also had a great day out last Sunday. It’s been so nice to see the results, to hear the stories and see the pics from the day and we congratulate everyone on their efforts. Check out details below.
For many, this now signals the end of racing and the start of recovery. We have an annual plan that takes into account appropriate phases of training to get the most out of your body. If you don’t know about this, there is more info below. These training phases also include a change in our timetable for Thursday night sessions over winter and we’re calling on you to vote for your preferred location.
But if you’re not ready to hang up the racing shoes just yet, there is one more chance with Challenge Shepparton on the 11th April. We now have quite a few athletes heading up and encourage others to get involved.
As a result of this event, we will stay with the Elwood combo sessions on Thursdays and Sundays until May, when we will implement our off-season timetable. Check out details of more training updates below.
But for the next few days, enjoy a very Happy Easter with your friends and families. We will train on Saturday morning only, with Friday, Sunday and Monday being public holidays. The weather is going to be amazing, so it’ll be great to see lots of you out and about.
PS...how good is this pic! Gotta love it when you sail past an athlete and they're left thinking, what the?!?!?!
