We trust you’ve all dried out after Friday’s deluge! And we sincerely hope Mother Nature got that out of the system before race weekend! We’re 3 from 3 and, at this stage, the forecast is looking good to continue that streak! We have a heap of athletes taking to the start line of Race #4 at Sandringham this weekend, once again with a full schedule of events on offer. All the very best to everyone who will be going around. There’s been plenty of hard work put in over the weeks, and now is the time to get out there and test yourselves. To quote our beloved Coach Gaz, “my idea of a good finish line photo is where you look like you need oxygen”. Challenge presented….Go for it!
We have details below about registering, the pre-race recon on Saturday morning, links to the race day checklist and elastic laces, and the training schedule for the week ahead.
All seems pretty straight forward. Back to MSAC for 3 squad swims this week. FYI, we did hear that only the main entrance was open on Friday morning, so perhaps allow a couple of extra minutes to walk through and be patient as MSAC are managing staffing levels. Hot laps are scheduled and hopefully go ahead without any rain this week. And coaches will mostly be tied up with race commitments at Sandringham over the weekend, so check in if you need to clarify movements for your session.
Following Sunday's race, we head into Recovery Week beginning Monday 7th Feb for majority of the squad and then the countdown is on to Geelong 70.3 for our Long Course crew.
Let’s keep the good times rolling! |
