It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....finally!  And Christmas is the festive season, so that must mean it's time for a party.  Triathletes are no different than everyone else (well, maybe......) but we all still celebrate Christmas, and this event is looked forward to each year. It's a time to get together, outside of lycra, relax, have fun and be merry!  Big thanks to Neda who has organised our party, inviting you to some lawn bowls, celebratory BBQ and drinks at Port Melbourne Lawn Bowls.  Join us from 12pm - 5pm on Sunday 19th December.

And Andy Wood-Rich has put his creativity to good use, and created a new, limited edition cycling jersey for the team!  The design is very cool and since this is only available via pre-orders, I suggest you read all the details below and act fast!

And as for the program, well it’s Recovery Week, so time to tend to all your body’s maintenance needs.  For those who raced, we’ll ease you back into training and straight into prepping for Race #2.  This date also coincides with the Melbourne Marathon festival, so there are plenty of athletes nearing race day.

And finally, sending big good luck vibes to those taking part in the Wellness Run this weekend.  We know plenty of you have signed up for big goals, new goals or social goals, so we wish you all the very best with them

Please reach out if there’s anything you need, or a coach you’d like to chat to.  They are all available to provide support, guidance or help you navigate an area you can’t quite put your finger on.  Here’s their contact details again, if now is just the right time:

Perfect Day for Triathlon

What a day it was!  The weather could not have been any better, and we all know how much better it is when the sun is shining!

We had a strong contingent repping the TA banner in all categories, even the kids race!  Well done to everyone who went around.  Whether it was your first or your first for a while, it's still a great effort to get to the start line and get the job done.  Hit the link below to check out the full list of results.

We have loads of thank you's to dish out, so I'll do my best not to forget anyone.

Thank you to:
* The army of you who helped put the tent up on Saturday.  We all know this is a big job, but also that many hands make light work of it.
* Those who helped with TTT and getting our newest athletes ready to race.  Your support and advice is very helpful in calming inevitable nerves!
* Neda & Les who were there for most of Saturday!  They stayed around to help with Tips & Tricks, to man the info tent and answer questions, to sell of shoelaces and trisuits and to hang out with our little guy when we were being pulled in different directions.  Literally could not have got everything done without you two.
* The dedicated vollies who helped bright and early with the Kids Tri.  It is such a rewarding experience and they genuinely rely on us to get them through.  Thanks Jo, Andy, Matty, Lisa, Les, Narelle, Kat.
* Dil & Les who I hear did an excellent job on the BBQ for you all!
* The equally-strong army of you who helped pack the tent up.  It's not easy to stay around at the end of the day when you've raced/supported and all you feel like doing is hitting the couch.  But your help is very much appreciated.

So, time to recover (actively) off the back of Race 1 and start prepping for Race #2 in less than 2 weeks!

Message from Andy:  These will be offered as a pre-order option from now, with the team store closing on the 19th of December.  The production will be 6-7 weeks from the close of the store.  Looking at about $140 per jersey and we need to get a minimum of 10 male and 10 female jerseys ordered to avoid a surcharge. The price might decrease if we get a larger order (but the numbers have to double for that I think) I will be getting a "Fit Kit" for both male and female styles this week as well to help with sizing and I own one of these retail jerseys if you want to check out the quality as well.

The Tri-Alliance team store is now live!
