It’s RACE WEEK! Woo Hoo! And this time we’re returning to our backyard in Elwood for Race #4 of the 2XU Tri Series. We currently have 47 athletes signed up under the Tri-Alliance banner, but I have a feeling I’m going to be busy later in the week with some last-minute entries coming in to get us back up near the 80 athletes we had last race! We had a great start to 2019, so let’s keep the momentum going and get around the whole Yellow and Blue army. And, ermmm….38c…..what a day! We’ve included lots of links to get you ready for race day, so make sure you read on to learn all about the bike course change, equipment you need, race day checklist and our call for Tri Kids volunteers. The next bit of exciting news is the GO LIVE phase on CoachingMate V2. There’s loads of awesome features in this latest release and you’ll want to get yourself hooked up as soon as possible. This coincided with the change of months, so if you can’t see a program currently attached to your profile, this is why. The release was kept a little hush-hush, as we’re sure you can all appreciate the patience needed with IT programs and the deadline/launch date that often gets pushed back. Well well, ours was actually moved forward (I know right…never heard of!), and we jumped at the chance to get it out to all of you. So here we are! We’ve included a full list of the amazing features below as well as a set of instructions to get you going. But, if you really are having trouble connecting (and we mean actually reading AND following the steps first – not simply deciding it’s too hard before you begin (not looking at anyone in particular...*cough G…cough A…*) and having a look through your dashboard), then please send Ollie an email or give him a call to help you out. It was a big LONG weekend for Australia Day, with many events and lots of people out and about. None more impressive than our newest State CHAMP (yay Slaine!), who took on the Aquathlon in Beechworth. Read all the news in the Weekend Highlights, which also includes the Brighton Aus day swim, MAAD, Cadel and a new PB in our Insta post of the week. Included below is also the weekend’s training details (including race recon), MSAC squad update, Albert Park precinct news, and much more! PS: how good does our mumma-to-be look! And how good was it having her back in Elwood this week. ~ Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out. ~ (Robert Collier) |
