NOOSA WEEK

noosa-banner

It's all about Nooo-sha, darling!  Fave time of the year for many as we vacate Melbs en masse, headed for sunnier skies (although this week aint too bad here).  We have close to 40 athletes competing again this year, which is not bad for some out-of-towners!  Good luck to all those involved.  If you've been there before you'll know this is so much more than 'just a race'.  So enjoy it all, lap it up and soak it all in!

Short pause (and huge thank you!) for those left behind, who will be training through and making sure the squad functions accordingly.  Please make sure you read the amended timetable below which will explain those sessions that are going ahead and those that are not.  Little heads up, MSAC swim lanes will be *INCREASED* from November...yay!  There will now be 4 lanes running on Mondays and Wednesdays and 3 lanes on Friday mornings.  And what might be even better...is that we're moving back outside for Wednesday mornings over Summer!

In TriShop news, our latest tri-suits are currently in production and we are pushing hard to have them here in time for Race #1 - stay tuned.  You can still pop your order through to make sure you are repping the blue and yellow come race day.  New cycling jerseys, knicks and 'something-something special' are also in the pipelines.  Can't wait to share all this with you very soon!

Adventures of The Cup!

It's been awesome to see the cup spending time with different athletes, travelling around and popping up in all sorts of locations....with and without additional props!  Not to mention the fantastic pics we've been seeing of its adventures.

In a bid to get all the pics in one place for a group collage, can you please email them directly through to Bondy for safe keeping.  Can't wait to see them all together!

Calling on Vollies

Thank you to everyone who has hung around, said 'Hi' or lended a helping hand to one or more of our newer athletes.  We can't tell you how far this kindness goes into making our members feel welcomed, supported and part of the Tri-Alliance family.  And we've still got plenty of more big sessions to come, with lots of new faces.  So we're calling on some volunteers to help us out over the next few weeks, particularly as the squad spreads out to Noosa and Busselton.  Coaches are also traveling for racing and supporting duties, so we need some friendly faces to assist the Elwood combo session back home.  If you are free during the following times/dates and are interested in helping out, can you please shoot Bondy a message and she'll be in touch with more info.
Thursday 31st Oct - 6:30pm
Saturday 2nd Nov - 9:30am
Thanks Team :)

It's Time To Sign
We have had a great partnership with Elwood Life Saving Club for many many years and we truly believe in supporting the amazing work they do.  That's why we're encouraging all our members to get behind the club and sign up as a member for the 2019/20 season.  Not only will this support our community, it will also provide you with the opportunity to be eligible for a foreshore parking pass (will save you loads in parking fees...or fines when you get done for forgetting!).

Membership fees for the 2019/20 season will remain the same.  ELSC are also offering a number of training opportunities for their members.  So make sure you get on board and support the local community.

We also ask that all members aged 18 and over ensure that you have a current Working with Children Check, which has Elwood LSC and Life Saving Victoria listed as organisations.  We will not be able to process your renewals without this due to changes that occurred under the Child Protection legislation last year.
