~ 2nd January 2024 ~

Happy New Year!  Can you believe it's 2024 already? Time flies when you're having a blast doing triathlons, right? We can’t help but feel the buzz of excitement in the air.  Last year, we set and smashed challenges, broke pb’s, and strengthened the bonds within our fantastic triathlon family. Now, as we stand on the starting line of 2024, we're gearing up for a year that is gonna be even more epic! Get ready for more laughs, more success, and more sweaty high-fives. Here's to a year of pushing boundaries, achieving milestones, and having a blast every stroke, pedal, and step of the way. Here's to a year of tri-ing hard and living large! Let's rock 2024!

Now, let's talk about the madness that was Hell Week! Our crew embraced the challenge with open arms, smacking out a ride and run every day, and a swim, when possible, around the water quality hiccups.  It was great to see the consistency and determination on display by so many, and the spike will give you all a handy step up into the New Year.  A huge shoutout to all those who not only survived but thrived during the full 8 days of fun/torture – your resilience is truly awe-inspiring! And let's not forget to give a massive round of applause to the unstoppable Mario, who covered an epic 800kms on the bike and 80kms on those fast feet. Now that's what I call a Hell of an achievement!  Hats off to each and every one of you for turning Hell Week 2023 into a success!

It's time for a friendly reality check – those events we've all been eagerly anticipating are sneaking up on us faster than we realise. The 2XU Race 3 is just around the corner, a mere 1 week and 5 days away! Followed by Race 4 in 5 weeks and 5 days, and then the Ironman 70.3 Geelong looming at 11 weeks and 5 days. It's easy to think we have all the time in the world, but the truth is, the clock is ticking. Each day lost is an opportunity missed to be at our absolute best. So, let's embrace the training, relish the journey, and let's ensure we're not just participants but truly ready come race day. Time waits for no one, and neither should we. Carpe diem.

So, there’s no time like the present to jump straight into the week with our full-throttle spirit! Whether you're gearing up for the 2XU races or eyeing off 70.3 Geelong, let's make this week count and set the tone for the fantastic year ahead. Together, we've got this—TA style!

6.15pm - 7.30pm

Wednesdays

And while we're at it, there's no better time to brush up on some pool etiquette.  If you're thinking, "Hey, do I really need to know about that?" The answer is a resounding, "YES!"
Not only does it make everyone's swim experience smoother than a dolphin's glide, but it also shows respect for your fellow squad members.
