Spring is here! No more countdowns, it is officially here. And for once, spring's arrival actually brought some warmer weather with it (and plenty of wind)! We also potentially have less than 2 weeks of current restrictions to go...anyone else hanging out for the leaked text messages and emails this week?! I mean, official announcement, anyone else hanging out for the official announcement!

We are back to building this week and the last fortnight of current programming. That means, two weeks left of building strength and endurance before we head into our pre-race phase of programming in mid-September. So, what are you waiting for? Make the most of the opportunity and let's get strong! 

Don't forget we have some racing and a training camp of our own in the works...we hope to bring you more details next week but in the meantime, let this be motivation for you to keep at it so that you're ready to race! 

This week we have a shout out to our friends at Giant Ormond who are running a brilliant #6weekstrong competition, we also have quite possibly the quickest and easiest recipe we've ever shared, as well as another entertaining video to add to your lockdown viewing list. Remember to grab a bargain from Garmin by this Friday too! 

Enjoy the warmer weather and extra daylight during your one hour of outdoor exercise time and make the most of it from your backyard, balcony or window the rest of the day! Be kind to yourself and to others, we're nearly through this so let's get to the other side together.

Training Reminders

Whilst we are getting excited and looking forward to more sunshine, warmer days and better times, we also have new programs to look forward to! Our strength block ends and our next phase of training kicks off in mid-September with our pre-race phase so mark your diaries and start dreaming of those ROTB (Runs Off The Bike)! 

For now however, we are in build week one, for the last time in our strength phase! We hope your virtual training continues to keep you happy, healthy, motivated and that you are using, not abusing, your 1 hour of outside time. Don't forget that currently, we are permitted to exercise outside our home with only one other person for no more than one hour and within a 5km radius of your home. 

This means that athletes are required to use their discretion in following the program and to be creative in how you get your session done (indoors, split days or give yourself a break!).

Our Go Virtual timetable is as below and all sessions can be accessed via the Go Virtual link in your program. 

Overview:
Monday – 6pm Dryland Swim + 7.30pm Flex 
Tuesday – 6am Run Intervals + 6pm Wind Trainer + 7.30pm Flex
Wednesday – 7am Strength + 6pm Dryland swim + 7pm Flex
Thursday – 6am Hot Laps (Zwift) + 5pm Run Intervals + Flex (Independent)
Friday – 7am Strength + 6pm Flex 
Saturday – 7am Ride (Go Virtual & Zwift) + Flex (Independent)
Sunday – 8am Run + Flex (Independent)

Everyone loves a quick and easy recipe and no one knows these quite like a new mum! This week's recipe comes from one of our newest mums in the TA family, Donna. Forget soaking dates, blenders and baking...full of peanut butter, chocolate and oats (all the best things) you can nearly make these with your eyes shut!
