~ 29th April 2024 ~ As we step into the month of May this week, we also kick off a brand-new training phase: Technique & Base Training. This marks the beginning of our Winter Training Season and sets the stage for the months ahead. Technique training is paramount during this phase, laying the foundation for your performance in the upcoming season. Whether it's refining your swim stroke, perfecting your riding technique, or honing your run form, now is the time to focus on building solid skills and base fitness that will carry you through the rest of the year.
Now, onto some pressing matters – our End of Season party is just around the corner, but we need more numbers to make it happen! Another invite was sent out last night, and I'll need final numbers by the end of this week. So please, book your spot or let us know if you'll be joining us as soon as possible.
Who's up for some winter training? We're gauging interest for a Winter Camp, so if you're keen to brave the cold and take your training to the next level, be sure to express your interest on this link below.
Let's take a moment to celebrate the recent achievements of our squad members who competed locally over the weekend. Some tackled the Great Ocean & Otway Classic Ride, while the other took on the Mornington Running Festival. Their results are below for everyone to see, showcasing the continued dedication and commitment within our squad.
In exciting news, we're offering a limited-time opportunity to order premium edition Tri-Alliance team shorts! Featuring top-of-the-line chamois for comfort, power band leg grippers for stability, and durable, compressive fabrics for shape retention, these shorts are a must-have for any serious athlete. Sizing is similar to our current TA Cargo shorts, but due to heavier fabrics, we recommend considering one size larger.
Lastly, please take note of some timetable changes starting in May. Specifically, our running sessions on Thursdays and Sundays, which will now be held at new locations. Message from The General for Sundays at Fairfield: We will be setting good habits from Day 1! Cold water recovery will be part of the session, so come prepared! Be sure to check out the details below to stay informed.
In line with this, the swim session next Monday is replaced with an online dryland swim session. Join Ollie to focus on band exercises for building strength and refining technique. Don't miss this chance to enhance your pool performance!
As we take the first step into this new training phase, let's remember: "Success isn't given. It's earned. On the track, on the field, in the gym. With blood, sweat, and the occasional tear."
