WEEKLY TRANSITION

coffee-ride-boat-trip

Firstly, thanks to everyone for their patience as we spent some family time away from triathlon over the past week.  We will get back to all emails, messages, phone calls, etc. in the coming days.

As a result, it’s going to be straight to the point, in this late edition of the newsletter.

We've got info about Latte Ride #4 happening this weekend.  This is our last one for recovery month, so if you’ve been hearing all the good things and don’t want to miss out, make sure you are there.  It’ll again be led by Coach Steph, heading to another new location....exciting!

I’ve taken a moment to reiterate the swim session times, lanes and the availability to all athletes.  And this week, I’ve also gone over the plans for the weekly run sessions as we move into May and the beginning of our base phase.

But the biggest agenda item this week, is Lorne Camp.  Now is the time to get all athletes booked in.  We need to have confirmation of final numbers asap, to ensure the camp is able to run.  Thanks to all the peeps who filled out the form to let us know your intentions, now is the time to commit.  I have also added some answers to new questions that came in, so check the link to read the FAQs.

APRIL LATTE RIDES

Slow Down and Enjoy the Ride

We are continuing with our coffee ride this weekend, and once again heading off the usual path to enjoy some alternate cycling routes.  I cannot confirm or deny whether cross-training (climbing stairs in cleats with the bike over the shoulder) will be part of the agenda on Saturday.

These are a social, easy, all-abilities ride for all athletes (expect those racing at Cairns).  We will be stopping for coffee and cake, and maybe even more than once!

Last week the group made their way into black and white territory, stopping for coffee at Abbotsford Convent.  And this week, yet another new destination.

Keep an eye out for the FB event for more details.

Riders note:
* Tri-Alliance kit essential for safety when bunch riding
* Front & rear lights mandatory
* Spare tube/s, levers and CO2 necessary
* Nutrition & hydration recommended

All riders are to be familiar with TA Bike Safety and Ethics.
