Yes, this week’s edition is late. I’d love to blame IT gremlins, but truth be told, I’ve only just recovered from Collingwood’s prelim loss. VIC has a public holiday tomorrow for Grand Final preparations, but let’s be honest, I’m still salty the Pies won’t be there. Anyway… enough about heartbreak, let’s talk about sessions.
🔨 Build Week 2: No Skipping Allowed
On Monday, we’re moving into Build Week #2, so this is your chance to stack another solid block before you earn the following week’s recovery. Every session matters. If it’s on your program, tick it off. Consistency is the name of the game right now.
🚧 MSAC Out of Action: What It Means
The 2025 Australian Short Course Championships are taking over MSAC next week. It’s an exciting event for the sport, but it does mean we’re locked out of our usual sessions. Affected sessions (all uncoached, complete independently): So...don’t just cancel them, adapt. Stick to your program, find your lane/wt spot, and get it done.
Coached sessions still happening as usual:
☀️ Daylight Savings = Summer Timetable
Not long now until the clocks spring forward and we shift gears into the Summer Timetable. From Monday 6th October, here’s what changes:
👉 That means last Tan session is Thursday 2nd Oct and last Fairfield session is Sunday 5th Oct.
Time to dust off the wetsuit, dig out the elastic laces and get your transition gear ready... because it’s brick session season.
👀 Looking Ahead
Between Build Week momentum, timetable shifts and the countdown to race season, there’s plenty to keep you sharp. This is where showing up counts most. No medals are handed out in September, but these are the sessions that decide how you’ll race from November onwards.
✅ Wrap UpSo yes, the newsletter is late, my team is out of the finals, and your timetable is about to change. But the good news? You’re fit, you’re building, and the summer season is right around the corner. Stick to your program, adjust where you need and roll into next week ready to go.
Keep showing up, keep ticking the boxes, and maybe don’t ask me who I’m barracking for this weekend. 💛 Team TA
