Let's get straight to the point.... we’re all happy to know that we'll be getting back to more face-to-face sessions, more routine training, more freedom, and all with our local race season right around the corner!

So what you really want to know now is what is happening and when?  Well, below you will find all the information you need about changes to our sessions, as well as how to get organised for them.  There’s info on swimming, hot laps, Saturday riding and what’s staying and going on the timetable.  The key here is the deadline for getting ready for squad swimming next week.  You must complete this by 5pm this Friday!  If you’re keen, get on to this straight away!

And don't forget that we must still all abide by the "get in, train, get out" mantra, to ensure our sessions are run in a COVID-Safe manner. 


As we ramp up, now is also a great time to touch base with one of our coaches.  Any one of them would be more than happy to have a chat.  Whether it’s to solidify your goals, talk through your situation or simply to make sure you are on the right track.  It only takes a moment to get in touch, but it'll go a long way.  We are here to help.

What's the Latest?
There was good news from Mr Andrews on Sunday, so we've been able to tweak our timetable even further.  Most significantly - pool swims!

Changes to Sessions:
* Swim sessions will be at MSAC from next week - no more dryland
* Tuesdays wt will be online going forward
* This morning only (Wednesday) will be an Open Water Swim at Elwood for anyone on Go Solo membership  
* Tonight's dryland swim session will go ahead as planned at 6pm
* Programmed Wednesday strength sessions to be completed in your own time. 
* Thursday hotties will return next week
* Saturday morning we're out on the road

What you need to know:
* No bookings required
* All athletes MUST be scanned in at each session
* Carry a mask at ALL times
* Maintain 1.5 metres distance when possible
* No sharing of personal equipment
* Do not attend if feeling unwell

Please note that all athletes will be responsible for their own personal belongings, there will not be an opportunity to leave items in the van (including bikes) and there will be no bike racks, nor bag minding at Elwood. Athletes must bring their own full water bottle to avoid use of shared taps.

Athletes can remain on Go Solo memberships for now, however will be unable to attend squad swims.  There will be no Go Virtual sessions running during these times.

We're Heading Back to the Pool!
This news actually came sooner than we expected - not that we are complaining!  We've been hanging to get back to squad swimming and we know you have too.  We'll be back at MSAC Monday and Wednesday next week.  We will add in Friday mornings the following week.

All athletes on Short or Long Course memberships (with swim) will be able to join in our sessions from next Monday 30 November.  That means you'll need to get your membership sorted by this Friday 5pm at the latest - nothing processed over the weekend.

So, how do you get back on board?
* Log in to your Tri-Alliance dashboard
* Navigate to the membership tab
* Find your current membership
* Hit the CHANGE button
* Select Short or Long Course with swim membership

Your membership will automatically switch over at the conclusion of your weekly Go Solo membership.

Athletes can remain on Go Solo memberships for now, however will be unable to attend squad swims.  There will be no Go Virtual sessions running during these times.
Bunch-Riding-and-Cycling-Etiquette
Riding the Roads
This Saturday will see a return to road riding for all athletes.  We will have two rides leaving from Elwood:
* Long Course @ 6:30am
* Short Course @ 7:00am
Athletes will ride programmed distances, in small, like-ability groups.  Please be familiar with all road rules, group riding etiquette and how to fix any mechanical issues (touch wood!).
>>Please use common sense when arriving at Elwood and do not congregate in groups.
Albert-Park-Lake-Hot-Laps
Hot Laps from December
With race season just around the corner, you'll want to be getting those TT's out and working them hard.  Thursday morning Hot Laps will do just that!

This session will begin on 3rd December and be on the prograHot Laps from Decemberms for our intermediate & advanced athletes.

We are also putting out an EOI for anyone interested in learning some skills and participating in a small group training session, before attending Hot Laps.

For Race #2 of Series 2, all athletes were required to clock their fastest 2 laps of Albert Park Lake.  This replicates Hot Laps and also is a great check in to see how all that hard work in the virtual world pays off.  Awesome to receive so many entries and a reminder that all these peeps just earned themselves double points!!!

We're just in the process of vetting some submissions, so stayed tuned for all results in the newsletter next week.
