The Finish Line (For Now)

After six massive races, countless sessions, and one very full season, we’ve officially crossed the finish line of the 2024/25 2XU Triathlon Series. And what a way to wrap it up! Race #6 at St Kilda delivered picture-perfect conditions, cracking performances across every distance, and that signature TA team spirit shining through from start to finish. From Sprint to Olympic to Aquabike to Fun Tri – you showed up and left it all out there. Legends!

And now? It’s time to exhale. Recovery Week is here – and it’s well deserved. This is your window to take a breath, ease back the intensity, and give your body and mind time to reset. Remember, gains aren’t just made when you’re training hard – they’re solidified when you allow yourself to recover properly.

Training-wise, most sessions are back to normal this week. A couple of quick reminders:
🔹There are no Tuesday and Thursday morning sessions on the timetable – use that time to sleep in or move gently.
🔹 No wind trainers available for hire (Ollie’s still sidelined from lifting), so if you’re joining Tuesday night’s WT, bring your own setup.
🔹 All other sessions are good to go – check the updated timetable and plan your week accordingly.

We’re also sending a massive congratulations to everyone who raced Geelong 70.3 on the weekend – some truly gutsy performances out on that course! And if you haven’t had a chance to scroll through the full Race #6 wrap-up or check out who landed on the Series Podiums… do that below. There’s plenty to be proud of.

Finally, although the season may be winding down, we’re not done celebrating just yet – our End of Season Party is locked in for May 17, so mark your calendars and get ready to party TA-style. 🥳

Enjoy the lighter week, team – you’ve earned it 💙💛 Let’s recover well and start thinking about what’s next.

Race 6 - St Kilda Edition

And just like that, we’ve wrapped up the final event of the 2024/25 2XU Triathlon Series!

Race #6 at St Kilda delivered an absolutely picture-perfect weekend of racing. After buckets of rain fell earlier in the week, the clouds parted and gave us two stunning days - ideal conditions for athletes to close out the series on a high. While the swim may have been a little cloudy, the water was calm, and the sun came out to play.

This final race was also the official AusTriathlon Age Group Team Qualifying Race for the Standard Distance Aquabike, which meant the field was stacked and competition was fierce. Across four main events (Sprint, Olympic, Aquabike, and Fun Tri) our Tri-Alliance athletes once again showed up strong and raced even stronger.

A Huge Thank You – Race 6 Wrap-Up

To everyone who pitched in over the weekend, from tent set-up and race recon to TriKids support, retail help, and the final pack-down - thank you!

We saw the usual legends doing what they always do, a few new faces jumping in, and plenty of people showing up just to say, “What can I do to help?” That kind of spirit is what makes this squad truly special.

It was a massive push to the finish line, and we felt the full force of your support. We couldn’t do what we do without you, and we’re forever grateful. 💙💛

Geelong 70.3 – You Beauties!

Sunday saw athletes take on the stunning but tough Ironman 70.3 Geelong - a race known for its scenic waterfront course, rolling bike terrain, and often unpredictable Victorian coastal weather.
