~ 22nd July 2024 ~

This week’s newsletter will be short and sweet. You’re now in a steady rhythm with our weekly cycles, and by this point, you should know exactly what to expect. We’ve talked a lot about consistency, and while we can’t make you drink the water, we can expect to see you showing up and putting in the work. So, let’s see that commitment in action—get to those sessions!

Welcome to Build Week 1! This week is pivotal as we begin a new cycle of training. Make the most of this week by staying focused and dedicated. Remember, the efforts you invest now will pave the way for future success.

Starting tomorrow, we’re adjusting our start times on Tuesday and Thursday mornings to be slightly earlier. This change is designed to ensure that you can complete your full set before heading to work. Make sure to check the updated timetable so you’re prepared and ready to hit the ground running.

A big shout-out to our Head Coach and camp crew heading to Thailand this weekend for some warm-weather training! To accommodate their absence, we’re tweaking our local timetable to keep everyone on track. Key changes are summarised below, and we’ll provide more detailed information in next week’s newsletter.

This is the perfect time to stay focused on your goals. Remember, action speaks louder than words. Keep showing up, stay committed, and let’s make the most of this build phase through winter. We’re here to support you – always reach out if you need!

Here’s to a productive week of training!

NEW START TIMES

Albert Park Interval Run Session

Let's Get Going Earlier

As the sessions are continuing to build, we need a little more time to get you through the sets before you all head off to work.

Starting this week, we will begin the Tuesday morning runs at Albert Park at 5:45am and the Thursday morning Hot Laps at Albert Park Lake at 5:45am.

This will give you just a bit more time to so there's no need to rush off and miss out on any volume.

Tweaks Whilst in Thailand

As you know, the Head Coach and a big crew are off to warmer days in Thailand from this weekend.  As such, we are making a few small tweaks to the timetable whilst they are on camp.  More details next week, but to give you the heads up, let me summarise:

Swims - no changes.  All going ahead at the usual times.

Rides - Tuesday night wind trainer will move to online sessions.  Thursday morning Hot Laps will be uncoached.  Saturday mornings will still begin from 2 locations, but advanced riders are expected to ride uncoached on Build Weeks.
Runs
- Tuesday mornings and Thursday nights going ahead as planned.  Sunday mornings will be from Fairfield only for the next 3 weekends.

Remember, none of the changes come into play until next week.  And these changes will only remain whilst the crew are at camp.
