~ 22nd April 2024 ~ "Hands up who drinks coffee with their helmet on?!?!?!"
Ah, the unique rituals of triathletes never cease to amuse! Now, let's dive into what's happening in the world of Tri-Alliance this week.
As we approach the end of Recovery Month, it's time to gear up for the next phase: Technique & Base Training. This transition marks a shift in focus, so it's important for athletes to make the most of this final week of recovery and prepare themselves, both physically and mentally, for the challenges ahead.
But before we fully shift gears, let's take a moment to celebrate some recent achievements. Over the weekend, we had two athletes competing – one interstate and one internationally. Their outstanding results showcase the dedication and talent within our squad. Check out the details below to read more about their accomplishments.
Speaking of athletes still in action, it won't be long until Cairns 70.3 and Cairns Ironman, happening on the 16th of June. The countdown is on (55 days in fact!), and we want to give a shout-out to our Long Course athletes who are pushing through their final build in preparation for these events. Keep up the fantastic work, team!
Special message for these Long Course athletes! Don't forget about the athlete meeting with Head Coach Ollie happening this Wednesday night. Be sure to check out the details below and come prepared with any questions you may have.
For those interested in getting data on their sodium and fluid loss, MX3 will be in attendance at the wind trainer session tomorrow night. Act fast to secure your spot – details can be found below.
And last but certainly not least, let's talk about our End of Season Awards night. Tickets are now available, and we want to see as many of you there as possible for what promises to be an incredible evening. Don't miss out – book yourself in for a night of celebration and camaraderie.
And remember, whether you're sipping coffee with your helmet on or smashing out intervals on the bike, let's keep the spirit of fun and camaraderie alive in everything we do. Together, we're stronger. See you out there!
