Turning Up and Turning the Corner

Team, what a cracking start to the year it’s been! The effort and energy you’ve all brought to each session over the past few weeks have been unreal. Every swim, bike, and run is laying down the foundation for a strong season ahead - and it’s showing!

This week’s newsletter is a little shorter than usual as Ollie and I are away for a very special occasion - Ollie’s brother’s wedding. It’s a special time for our family, and we’re grateful to be able to celebrate it together. While we’re away, please know that we’re still here for you, even if our replies are a little slower than usual. All sessions will run as scheduled, and our amazing coaching team will be there to keep everything running smoothly.

It’s also Recovery Week, which is the perfect chance for all of us to take a step back, recharge, and focus on restoring our bodies. Recovery is where growth happens, so embrace the lighter sessions and allow yourself to reset.

Looking ahead, Race #4 at Sandringham is just 19 days away, on 9th February. It may feel like it’s coming up quickly, but there’s plenty of time to put in the work and get race-ready. Every session between now and then is an opportunity to fine-tune your preparation and build your confidence.

If you’re not sure whether your program is on point for your goals, now’s the time to check in with your coach. A tailored plan makes all the difference, so don’t hesitate to reach out and ensure you’re on the right track.

And remember, you get out what you put in. Showing up consistently, giving it your best effort, and staying committed will pay off on race day. The hard work now is an investment in the results you want to see.

Update Your Program: Get Race-Ready

With the season well underway, now’s the time to ensure you’re training on the program that aligns with your next race. All of our programs are live and ready for you, so take a moment to log in, review your options, and make any necessary updates.

For Long Course athletes who wrapped up Busselton in December, you should have transitioned to your next challenge. Options include:

  • Geelong 70.3
  • Port Macquarie 70.3
  • Cairns 70.3
  • Ironman Australia (Port Macquarie)
  • Ironman Asia Pacific (Cairns)

If you’re changing gears, Short Course memberships are also a great way to mix things up and keep your training fresh.

How to Update Your Program:
You can update your program directly from your athlete portal. It’s quick and easy!

Need to Update Your Athlete Level?
If you can’t see the program you’re looking for, it’s likely because your athlete level isn’t set correctly (e.g., if it’s set to Ironman, you won’t see 70.3 options). This isn’t something you can change yourself, but we’re happy to help. Just send us an email, and we’ll take care of it for you.

2XU Triathlon Series: Over Halfway and Going Strong!

We’re already past the halfway mark of the 2024/2025 2XU Triathlon Series, and what a season it’s been so far! From Elwood to St Kilda, it’s been incredible to see our squad representing and racking up points in every race.

As we approach Race 4, here’s a reminder to use our club promo code: TRIALLIANCE when registering. This not only gets you a 20% discount but also ensures your results count toward our club total - let’s keep climbing that leaderboard!

Remaining Race Dates:

  • Race 4: Sandringham – Sunday, 9th February 2025
  • Race 5: Elwood – Sunday, 2nd March 2025
  • Race 6: St Kilda – Sunday, 23rd March 2025

If you haven’t signed up for the upcoming races yet, now’s the perfect time to lock in your entries. Be sure to double-check your club selection (Tri-Alliance!) when registering to ensure your points are counted.
