I know, I know....Race season seems like ages away.  But, what if I told you it was only just over 12 weeks until Race #1 of the 2XU triathlon series!  Yup, that's right.  Those 3 little months will fly by.  And before you know it, race season will be knocking on our doors and we want all of YOU to be ready.

 The 2XU series is officially taking registrations from today and besides the awesome 20% Tri-Alliance discount, they have other offers on series entries, bundle packages and even an early bird saving for up until the end of August.  Make sure you read all the details below.

And how could you expect to be ready to race without being at our Queenscliff pre-season camp!  Remember, combo sessions will be in full swing, with the camp aimed at race-specific training, including transitions and other triathlon fundamentals.  We have only a handful of beds left (literally), so this will probably be the last week we can take bookings.  Don't say you weren't warned!

How To Swim With A Snorkel

I first used a snorkel just a few months after getting brand new (fake) front teeth and I still worry that they will fall out (Gaz, you’re on standby). I still don’t like my snorkel much and I find it very claustrophobic. I can’t stand the fact that my goggles get foggy and I’m unable to clear them easily. And don’t even ask me to put on paddles at the same time!!

I hope my tips help you and please share any other tips you may have with me so I can spread the wisdom (and benefit from it too!).

Next Thursday 29 August, come and join us after our Tan run session to say GOODBYE to Winter!  Let's have some social time over a steak and a glass of red.  Arcadia Hotel is very used to athletes dropping by after training sessions, so just bring something warm, and as you can see from the pic, we go as we are.  Oh...did I mention they have $12 T-Bones on Thursdays????   We're looking forward to seeing lots of happy faces there!
