The end of the season is approaching... the final race of the 2XU series and the End of Season Awards Night!!
We've met so many new athletes and welcomed some of them as our own. We can't believe our final Try the Tri graduation is this weekend. We hope to see as many of you as possible for Round 6 of the 2XU series and our final chance to win the Tri-Club Championship!

Our last call for volunteers this season: we need volunteers to assist with tent setup on Saturday and with the kid's race on Sunday. Both are described in detail below! Please contact Michelle with any questions. We appreciate all of the help we receive at each race.

If you haven't entered in yet? There is still time! Online Registrations Close 4pm Friday. Check out the details below on how to get your TA discount! Note, we are not on our emails 24/7 so please provide us with some time to give your discount code. 


Not competing? Why not volunteer your time to help the future Tri-superstars? Meet at the TA Tent in Catani Gardens, St Kilda, at 10.30a.m. for a briefing in transition at 10.50 a.m. The more the merrier. Let's get out there and support these sporting treasures!
 
Training Updates

* THIS Monday night & the following Monday, we will be swimming at Elwood Beach at 6pm.  There will be no session at MSAC due to swimming carnivals.

* Tuesday running for next week will have a new location due to the Grand Prix.  We will conduct this session down at Middle Park.  All details are in the timetable.

* Thursday will be same as usual, but in case of Grand Prix closure, Coach Gaz will send diagram of back up meeting spot in Facebook groups.

* Sunday swim & run is uncoached. But we recommend meeting at the TA tent at St Kilda at 7:15am.

A reminder that our post-race celebration will be held this weekend. Join us this Sunday at Republica from 4pm for a celebratory drink after the race as we reflect on all the highs and lows of another incredible 2XU Triathlon series! We've reserved our own corner of the Courtyard terrace and hope to see you there.

Tri Club Championship

This is your final chance to race in the 2XU series this season.
The more athletes who compete, the more points we will receive for the Tri Club Championship!

You know the deal, as one of our benefits for all Tri-Alliance annual members, is that YOU are eligible for a 20% discount off your race fee.

How to Enter with Discount

Just select "TRI-ALLIANCE" as your club when entering and hit "JOIN".  It will prompt you for a password, which you can get by choosing "Click here to request it".  You'll receive an email with the code and voila! 
(NB: be mindful that we are not attached to our computers 24/7, so if you send a request at the last minute, we cannot guarantee you will get a response straight away.  Business hours are appreciated).

TRAINING SCHEDULE

**RACE Week**

To see details for each session please check out the online timetable online (link below).

Monday 20th March: 

  • 6pm - Evening Open Water Swim Session for all athletes - Meet out the front of Elwood Life Saving Club. Bring wetsuit, paddles and fins, and bands! Be ready to hit the water at 6pm.

Tuesday 21st March: 

  • 5:45am - all athletes - Meet just before 5:45am at the outdoor gym station on Beaconsfiled Parade, opposite Armstrong Street (Middle Park).
  • 6pm - SC Athletes – Wind Trainer session online with Coach Gaz.  Link in programs.  Please contact if on Social or Pass membership. 
  • 6pm - LC Athletes – Wind Trainer session online with Coach Greg.  Link in programs.  Please contact if on Social or Pass membership. 

Wednesday 22nd March:

  • 5.45am - All athletes – Squad Swimming at MSAC.  Session will begin with dryland band warm up.  Also bring pull buoy, paddles, fins, etc.  Outdoor pool.

Thursday 23rd March:

  • 5.45am - Intermediate/Advanced athletes - Hot Laps.  Meet outside MSAC main entrance by 5:40am for 5:45am roll out.  Tri-Alliance apparel is required.
  • 6pm - All athletes at Elwood for Brick Sessions. 
    • SC - complete a brick session of structured bike/run intervals followed by work on transition skills. Bring all swim, bike, run gear and be prepared for any combination.
    • LC - Long Course athletes will complete an interval run set, followed by a swim (if time permits).

Friday 25th March:

  • 5.45am - all athletes – Squad Swimming at MSAC.  Session will begin with dryland band warm up.  Also bring pull buoy, paddles, fins, etc.  Outdoor pool.

Saturday 26th March:

  • 6am - Long Course ride leaving from Elwood.  All riders must be familiar with Tri-Alliance Bunch Riding and Cycling Etiquette policy.
  • 7am - COMBO/RACE PREP – Short Course & TTT#6 (Bike/Run/Open Water) Catani Gardens. Bring all swim, bike, run gear and be prepared for any combination. 
  • 8:30am - Tent Set up (come help!).

Sunday 27th March:

  • RACE DAY, Catani Gardens, St Kilda.
  • 7:15am - Swim & Run - Meet other LC athletes at the TA tent for a 7:30am swim start (Uncoached). 

Monday 28th March: 

  • 6pm - Evening Open Water Swim Session for all athletes - Meet out the front of Elwood Life Saving Club. Bring wetsuit, paddles and fins, and bands! Be ready to hit the water at 6pm.
