Ah…The wonderful world of off-season training! At the moment training should be relaxed, it should be fun, and it should be stress-free. You should be taking care of your bodies, getting those niggles sorted, the good foods in and clocking up the zzzz’s.
There are two main things to focus on this week:
1/ Squad swim sessions at MSAC
and
2/ Lorne Winter Camp
In regards to MSAC swims, we have been successfully in getting back our Wednesday morning time slot, so that starts now. All our swims will be in the outdoor pool and I’ve included the lane numbers below also, so you’ll know where to be. In more good news, we are booking an additional lane on Friday mornings from May, so this will open up space to anyone who wants to swim. This will mean that every athlete can swim three times per week and really use this time to refine their technique.
Lorne Winter training camp has go the green light, so we are all systems go. We will be opening bookings up from next week, so now is the time to get yourself organized. The camp is limited to only 40 athletes on site. If you are still a little unsure as to what a training camp entails, I have included an article below to give you a little overview. There’s also the form to let us know your intentions and ask questions and the link to reviews and recent questions. Just shout out if there’s anything else you’d like to know.
And on the Social side of things, we have our very-popular latte rides continuing this weekend. Again, heading to somewhere new and giving you the chance to slow down, enjoy the scenery and the company and of course, have a natter over a coffee. Keep your eyes out for more details in the Facebook event. And please remember that all riders need to have a TA jersey or vest for safety. And we’re also planning on heading out for a Trivia Night next Wednesday! Thanks to Steph for great idea and taking the lead on this one. Join us and spend some time with your crazy tri-friends in a non-tri environment. Check out details below and please rsvp asap so Steph can make a booking! We’ll need to have heard from you by Sunday night at the latest.
