After months of bands, makeshift sessions, and counting down the days, it’s time to slide back into the lanes and rebuild that all-important swim fitness. It’s not just a return, it’s a reset. September signals the start of Spring, the first step toward summer racing, and the chance to sharpen strength, endurance and speed across all three disciplines. With the swim now back in the mix, your program has everything it needs to fire on all cylinders. So pack the goggles, dust off the TA cap, and get ready. Because the wait is over, and the timing couldn’t be better. Just a reminder: make sure your swim membership is up to date so you're good to go for our three weekly sessions (Monday 6:15–7:30 pm, Wednesday 5:45–7:00 am, Friday 5:45–7:00 am).
🎉 Weekend Wins - Squad Spotlight!- Shelly smashed her first marathon at the TCS Sydney Marathon this weekend! She clocked 4:40:30 on a challenging course that winds up rolling hills, the Harbour Bridge, the CBD, and finishes under the Sydney Opera House. Not exactly flat Beach Rd fare. Your dedication to Ollie’s program paid off beautifully, Shelly. You followed it diligently, you asked the right questions and took on the advice. Couldn’t ask for more. Massive congrats on a perfect debut. We hear we can expect more to come!

📆 Build Week #1, and Yes...the Hills Still MatterWith Build Week #1 underway, you’re kicking off the start of your race-specific power block. The rhythm of the three-week cycle (build, build, recover) is there for a reason. This week is all about leaning in and stacking the work that sets you up to absorb and adapt later. And let’s be clear: the hills aren’t going anywhere. They’re not just “extra effort”; they’re your ticket to stronger legs, better endurance and the resilience to push when it matters most. Every climb you take on now is a deposit into your race-day account. Power, strength and confidence you can draw on when the course demands it. So, ride smart this weekend. Whether it’s Dandenongs, Mornington hills or your favourite local rollers, make them count. Weekday reminder: Tuesday morning run and Thursday morning Hot Laps are back. Be there, get it done, and keep the momentum rolling. This is where strength meets structure. 📍 Upcoming Regional Event: Ballarat Duathlon (Fri 26 Sept)We’ve been asked to give the Ballarat Duathlon a shout-out. It’s back after a hiatus and landing on Grand Final Eve at picturesque Victoria Park (closed roads, scenic course). This is also the Vic State Sprint Duathlon Champs and kicks off the Tri Victoria Regional Series. Options include Sprint (4.5K run / 17.5K bike / 2K run), Dash, and Fun categories, starting from just $25 entry. Fantastic prep for anyone aiming for multisport goals or heading to World Champs.
