~ 18th December 2023 ~

The last Monday before Christmas!  Can you believe it???  I’m not quite sure how it happens, but it seems to come around faster every year.

It was great to have some fun and festivity yesterday to celebrate the year with you all.  Good food, good weather, good people and good times….couldn’t ask for anything better!  A huge shoutout to Neda for doing such an amazing job as organiser extraordinaire.  To Benny for a fantastic job as 2IC and his culinary skills.  And to the truckload of people who helped in a variety of ways.  We really appreciate it! Special mention to all the ugly (and not-so-ugly) Christmas costumes on display.  It was a tough competition, but it was hard to go past the Ollie-mas shirt!!!   You know the day was a success when the kids have tired themselves out, the KK presents were a hit and there’s a few sore heads this morning. Perfect day!

Launching headfirst into this week, let’s talk swimming first.  Couple of changes to the sessions.  One open water and two MSAC squad swims.  More details below, so read carefully.  And then get excited for Hell Week 2023.  It’ll start on Saturday and run through until the following Sunday.  We’ll send out a Hell Week guide later in the week, but for now all you need to know is there’s a spike coming, and you need to be at Elwood daily from 6am.

And last but not least, congratulations heading Zoe’s way.  She has had more recent success and we’re thrilled for her.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.  We hope you are able to find time to spend with family and friends and refresh in the change of pace.
This will likely be the last Weekly Transition for the year.   Keep an eye on the socials for any updates and enjoy the Hell Week Challenge.

Train smart.  Train well.  Go TA!

Keeping You in the Loop for a Stronger 2024

We've been loving the energy and camaraderie that each one of you brings to the squad, making this TA community the fantastic family it is.

We just wanted to drop a quick line and keep you in the loop about some upcoming changes. Starting January 1st next year, there will be a slight uptick in membership prices, but before you break a sweat, know this – it only applies to the new folks jumping on board or those thinking of switching up their membership game. If you're keeping things as they are, no worries – your membership stays locked and loaded.

We get it, nobody likes price talk, but it's a necessary step to keep the ball rolling. Costs are doing their thing – going up like they do. Increasing costs of facility hire, business expenditures, and general inflation, you name it, it's on the rise.  We've held the line on prices since before the pandemic, absorbing hits left and right. But, truth be told, it's time to roll with the punches.

We're working hard to ensure that your experience with us remains awesome and we're still committed to giving you bang for your buck.  Expect more details soon, but for now, consider this your heads-up. If you want to stick with your current membership and dodge the changes, now's the time to lock it in.

Zoe's Success

Zoe competed in the Victorian Open Water Swimming Championships last weekend and took home the State Champion title for the 2.5km swim.  The event was in Geelong, and much like the weather here in Melbourne, it was in very yucky conditions!
To put things into perspective, 4 girls out of the 18-24 age group had to be pulled out of the water due to the tough conditions, so it took swim skills to not only complete this one, but to compete and win!

Rightly so, Zoe is very proud of this result.  And we are so happy for her.  Amazing effort, Zoe!
