SPRING INTO ACTION

Playgrounds are open, social bubbles are on and picnics are back...small steps but steps moving in the right direction and wow, it feels good! Helped along by bucket loads of sunshine, of course! Remember when any chance of restrictions easing felt a million years away? And yet, here we are, a few days into restrictions easing with our next step only a week and a halfway (unless you're one of those lucky ones in regional Vic!). It always seems impossible until it's done.

This is recovery week so plenty of time to make the most of those extra social interactions as well as no longer needing to cram any exercise into a mere hour, we now get two whole hours...oh the luxury! Our pre-race phase kicks off next week so make sure you are resting and recovering this week so you are ready and raring to go again.

Thank you to everyone who has so far completed their EOI for our Race Series and Training Camp, we are stoked by the feedback and excitement that is brewing. If you are yet to do so, please complete your EOI so we can keep you updated. Race Series details, include sign up information, will be provided next week.

There are only four days left to share your best pics to enter Giant Ormond's #6weekstrong competition, and now you have 2 hours to explore your 5km zone, there's really no excuse! What are you waiting for, get out there and get snapping!

This week we also have another recipe to try - perhaps one of the last treat yo'self ones as we start thinking of our upcoming race series! As well as a video from GCN on some essential bike skills.

As always, and as above, don't forget to check in with others to make sure they are okay or just to let them know they are missed! If you can, please reach out if you need some support or someone to connect to during this time. Supporting each other no matter what is the TA way, and the Tri-Alliance family is all stronger for it.

Along the way, we will have recipe sharing and other perks for those involved with the opportunity to focus on a healthy way of losing COVID-kilos if you happened to pick any up this year. The second six-week race series will be an opportunity to test the benefits of the training camp, as well as leading into Christmas and the hopeful return of racing in 2021.

Both the race series and training camp is open to all Tri-Alliance annual members and with prize packs from Tri-Alliance and our very special partners, you won't want to miss out! There will be a number of different race categories and age groups, so everyone can be involved (not just those with power meters or smart trainers!) and prizes will not just go to the fastest or strongest racers - there will be something for everyone!

More details to come but if you are interested please complete the expression of interest below to ensure you are kept up to date with planning.
