LET'S GO RACING

Welcome to Race Weekend!  We honestly weren’t sure if we were going to get there, but is seems like it all systems go.  Good luck to everyone hitting the start line.  There’s loads of events across the morning and we know you will be giving it your all!

In the best interest of everyone’s health, we are making a few changes this weekend.  Nothing we haven’t been through before and with your safety front of mind.  With cases continuing to escalate, we need to discourage the congregation of groups, maintain distance, encourage the wearing of masks and be mindful of others.

TA Tent: it will be there, but will not be used as a hang out place.  We are only using it as a safe place to store your bags.  Unfortunately, that’ll mean no walls, no change tent, no warmup bikes and no BBQ (*insert sad face*).  But you will be able to drop your bag off and know it will be safe during your race.

Training Update: our Saturday morning short course session will be at St Kilda this weekend, used as race recon for Sunday.  More details below.  And we’d like to ask for a skeleton crew to help with put up and pack down of the tent.  Many hands make light work, but fewer hands keep us safe.  We’ll do this right after training Saturday morning and after the final competitor on Sunday.  If you get a chance, just let Ollie know you’re keen to help and he’ll be able to confirm numbers.

Long course ride will still leave from Elwood at 6am on Saturday and there will be no group session on Sunday, due to coach commitments at the event.

Anyone who would like to help with the kids race, can we ask that you please get in contact with [email protected].  Start time is 9:50am in transition and we will ask that you all wear masks.

Following Sunday's race, we head into Recovery Week beginning Monday.  Remember that'll mean no Tuesday and Thursday morning sessions next week, and lots of active recovery and maintenance to freshen up the body for the next race!
