ABOUT LAST SUNDAY!!!!

Wowee….How good was Sunday?!?!?  Amazing conditions for racing, both a triathlon and a marathon.  We’re two from two this season and couldn’t be happier.  The vibes were so good down in Brighton, even made some of the coaches wish they were going around again!

Thanks to all those on supporting duties this week, especially those who managed to spread themselves across both events.  No mean feat!  It was great to get regular updates from both ends of Beach Rd and know that the Tri-Alliance Family was cheering hard.  Well done to everyone who hit the course, threw their hat in the ring and lined up for either event.  You are in front of everyone who’s still sitting on the couch, and we just know how good it must feel to cross a finish line again.

Quick shoutout to all our top 10 finishers across Race #2:

1st place – Nic & Nastia

2nd – Dicko, Kirsty, Sarah

3rd – Eleesha, Tali, Maryann

5th – Ellie & Mark

6th – Jessica

7th – Katy

8th – Annie, Taylor, Shane, Bec

9th – Dan & Narelle

10th – Anthony & Doug

It’s worth a mention...
* that our girls went 1, 2 & 3 in the First Time Females!!!  Way to go TTT coaches and athletes for working hard at perfecting your new skills!
* that the Dicko Family (Chris, Eleesha and Zee) all made it to the podium in their first race as family, all taking on various events across the day.
* that our first group of Try the Tri athletes smashed out their A-race and we're super proud of all of them!  Hopefully we've convinced you that triathlon is THE sport to be in and we'll see you all for some more fun in Hell Week!

And to our Melbourne marathon runners, wowzers, you all ran your hearts out.  It was certainly warmer than what you would have experienced in October, but a great hit out as you reset and build towards more long course goals:

James Tyler – 3:00:05

Sebastian Chen – 3:03:20

Mario Staffieri – 3:12:45

Enrique Valenzuela – 3:40:01

Sarah Ryan – 3:45:12

Paul Martin – 4:20:59

Pammy Tunas – 5:07:48

Message from Andy:  These will be offered as a pre-order option from now, with the team store closing on the 19th of December.  The production will be 6-7 weeks from the close of the store.  Looking at about $140 per jersey and we need to get a minimum of 10 male and 10 female jerseys ordered to avoid a surcharge. The price might decrease if we get a larger order (but the numbers have to double for that I think) I will be getting a "Fit Kit" for both male and female styles this week as well to help with sizing and I own one of these retail jerseys if you want to check out the quality as well.

The Tri-Alliance team store is now live!

HELL WEEK 2021
Hell Week (2021)
It's Time to Get Ready for Hell!

So... Are you ready for Hell?  For those new to the concept, Hell Week (contrary to what the name suggests), is a fun-filled, week-long challenge of completing a run, ride and swim every day. In a nutshell, you’ll be completing a triathlon every day for one week, which replaces our normal timetabled sessions at MSAC, Elwood and Albert Park.

Keep in mind:
Open to all Tri-Alliance Annual Members - please ensure this is up to date no later than COB (5pm) Friday afternoon.
Hell Week is non-coached - although our coaches will be in attendance during Hell Week, they'll be alongside you. This means, each athlete is largely responsible for themselves and the onus is on each athlete to ensure they are disciplined enough to tick the boxes.
Must wear Tri-Alliance apparel on rides - we'll be enforcing a No Jersey, No Ride policy during Hell Week to ensure the safety of all athletes.
No TT bikes - this is for the safety of the group.  TT bikes are less responsive than a road bike, which can result in slower braking times and more chance of issues during pack riding.

We’re excited and so should you be!  There’s a few things to get your head around, to get yourself prepared for the week ahead.  So, have a read, take it all in and ask questions now and along the way to ensure you get the most from the spike in your training.
