A quieter racing weekend, allowed athletes to embrace the tail-end of Recovery Week, freshen up and start prepping for a couple of significant build weeks ahead, where all they need to do is knuckle down in to some solid training sessions and focus on their goals. We did still managed a couple of great results in OW swim events and crit racing on Sunday; well done Team Mervin! And we're well in to the season, but there's still plenty of racing around, so time to keep our eyes on the prize, stay disciplined and motivated and finish off the season strong!
At the same time, we've had a committed bunch of athletes doing all they can to prepare themselves for Geelong 70.3 this weekend. It seems like this has been a long time coming, and with race day just around the corner, the nervous energy has certainly been felt. We'll be down there all weekend supporting the crew with the TA Taj, so if you've got some time, it'd be great to see lots of yellow and blue cheering our athletes on.
And spare a thought for Jimmy Tyler, who this weekend will tackle his peak weekend on his way to Ironman New Zealand. I'm sure he'd appreciate the company if you are in Melbs! As always, lots happening around the place so be sure to read on! |
