Building Momentum

Happy Monday, TA Family!

We've arrived at Build Week 2, and with each passing week, our training becomes more intense. It's crucial that each one of us remains committed to the plan in order to reap the rewards during the upcoming recovery week. We understand that fatigue may start to set in, and there might be moments when the temptation to drop off lingers. However, let us emphasize the significance of staying the course. It is during these challenging build weeks that we lay the foundation for our future success. Every completed session, every stroke in the water, and every pedal stroke brings us closer to our goals. So, stay focused, stay motivated, and let's power through this week together!

Speaking of training sessions, I would like to address the attendance at our swim sessions, particularly the Friday morning endurance session. Currently, the turnout is relatively low (although those who were present last Friday enjoyed the luxury of having three lanes to themselves!). However, this session holds immense value in building stamina and endurance in the water. Below, you'll find a detailed discussion on the importance of attending all scheduled swim sessions and the benefits of the Friday morning endurance swim, as well as the most recent TT results! Don't miss out on the opportunity to enhance your swim performance and overall triathlon performance.

Now, let's discuss the changes to our riding plans for Saturday morning. To provide a more tailored training experience and to better group athletes according to ability, we are implementing a change to our riding sessions. Moving forward, riders will be divided into two groups in a slightly different manner. Each group will have specific start locations and/or times, so it's crucial to consult the online timetable for precise details. This adjustment will enable us to cater to the needs of each athlete, ensuring everyone gets the most out of their training rides.

Talking about making the most of something, let's touch on the weather forecast for Saturday. Predictions were not in our favour, with expectations of wet and windy conditions that made some of you hesitant about riding. However, as we have learned from experience, weather forecasts are not always accurate. The conditions turned out to be ideal for a solid workout, and those who braved the elements had a great training session. This serves as a valuable reminder that sometimes it's better to assess the conditions on the spot rather than solely relying on predictions. So, let's get out the door and embrace the opportunity to train.

Lastly, we want to remind you that the TriShop has replenished its stock of KODA and PILLAR products. These high-quality nutrition and recovery options are readily available to support your training and aid in your recovery process. Take a moment to explore the selection on the website and find the products that align with your needs. By incorporating these into your routine, you can elevate your performance and maximize your potential both during training and in your daily activities.

As we head into this week, we encourage you all to prioritize consistency. Consistency is key in our training journey, setting apart the extraordinary from the ordinary. Stay committed, stay disciplined, and trust in the process.  Remember, every session counts, every effort matters. Let's make it count together!

Making Waves of Progress

As your dedicated coaches, we firmly believe in helping each one of you unlock your true potential and reach new heights. We cannot stress enough the importance of consistency in training. This week, we want to reiterate the significance of our swim sessions and their transformative impact on your overall performance.

Our Friday morning sessions are meticulously crafted to enhance your strength and endurance in the water. While the Monday and Wednesday sessions provide a solid foundation in technique and strength through intervals, Friday mornings take it up a notch. We prioritize strength training and endurance, pushing you to test your limits and prepare for the challenges you'll encounter on race day.

Endurance and strength are the pillars of successful swim training that should never be underestimated. A strong swim sets the tone for your entire race day. With a solid endurance base, you can maintain a steady pace throughout the swim leg, conserving precious energy for the remaining disciplines.

Attending the Friday morning session presents you with the invaluable opportunity to elevate your muscular strength, enhance your stamina, and cultivate mental fortitude. It demands pushing through fatigue, staying focused during longer intervals, and ultimately developing the resilience needed for optimal performance.

Our squad sessions create a supportive and empowering environment where you can propel yourself alongside your tri buddies. Training together fosters camaraderie, ignites motivation, and aids in conquering mental barriers. Remember, true greatness is achieved collectively through dedication and consistent, high-quality training.

So, will we have the pleasure of seeing more of you at the pool this Friday?
