IT'S THE FIRST RACE WEEKEND OF THE YEAR!

hell-week-swim

Welcome back to the first full training week of 2023!  And hasn’t the weather turned it on for us.  Who else is ready and raring to get stuck into it?!?!?

And as luck would have it, it’s also Race Week!  Round 3 of the 2XU series is taking us down to Catani Gardens in St Kilda.  A favourite and familiar racing ground for many!  But it’s going to be a hot one, on Saturday at least anyway.  As a result, O2 Events have brought forward kit collection to 10am, which means out Tips & Tricks will take place from 10.30am.  As we’ll also have TTT running at the same time, we’d appreciate any additional hands to help.  We’ll need to juggle TTT, tent construction and Tips and Tricks, almost simultaneously.  So come and join in all the fun...please.  We also have included all the important details you need to know below.  From entries, shoelaces, the checklist and a call out for Tri Kids helpers (it’s a late one this week), it’s all there.

We’re excited about an upcoming event, that we can’t wait to share.  So we’ve snuck it in this week as a save the date.  All you need to know is to make yourself available for about an hour on the 25th January, to hear from an industry expert in the world of dietetics. It’ll be interactive, so you can begin thinking about q’s!

And last, but by no means least, the TA Ambassadors.  Thank you to everyone who nominated themselves or others for this program.  We had a lot of worthy recipients, and they have been contacted to let them know about all your kind comments and see if they would like to take part. We are just waiting for a couple more to confirm their acceptance, before we can open the voting, so this will come out as a separate email later in the week.  Stay tuned!

Sorry it’s a later newsletter this week.  But I am enjoying being back on deck with coaching duties, so appreciate your patience!

TriKids
Friendly Faces Needed

The future stars of our crazy sport will be giving it their all on Sunday morning in the Tri Kids race.  We're looking for some friendly faces to come and give these little ones a hand.  It's super easy, they just need help with:
* lining up in their AGs
* walking to the start line
* being pointed in the right direction
* putting on tops, shorts, shoes (after the swim)
* racking and moving bikes
* encouragement to keep going
* smiles for miles and high 5s all round!

Meet at the TA Tent at 9:40am for briefing in transition at 9:50am.  The more the merrier.  Let's get around these gems of the sport!
